Postage and delivery
The jewellery is made to order and I will try my best to dispatch your order as soon as possible; in many cases, within a week, though please allow 14 days before enquiring.
If for any reason I cannot send your jewellery within two weeks, I will contact you immediately to let you know the expected waiting time.
I use PayPal's Shopping Cart system which is integrated into the website. As soon as you confirm your order, you will be taken to PayPal's own secure site where you can complete your purchase. Jewellery Hype does not see your card details at any time. I also accept cheques and postal orders through the post.
U.K. Orders with a value up to £50.00 are normally sent by recorded mail , which includes compensation up to £50.00 for loss or damage in transit. Orders with a value of £50 and over are sent by Special Delivery, which includes insurance up to £500 and next day delivery.
Overseas orders will be charged postage according to the destination.
Please check the DELIVERY page for postage and packing charges.
If an item is returned because no-one was there to receive it, and it has not been collected from the post office within the time stated on their card, I will ask you to pay the postage charge again to re-send it.
Goods are packaged carefully, but in the unlikely event that you receive anything damaged, please return within 10 days of receipt for replacement.
In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, you may return any item for a refund (except custom-made) for any reason within 7 days of receiving it, provided that it has not been used and is returned undamaged and in its original packaging. The buyer will be responsible for the costs of returning any unwanted ordered goods to my address as shown on the receipt.
Due to hygiene regulations, under no circumstances can earrings be returned unless faulty.
It is the customer's responsibility to make sure items for return are packaged securely, especially for items in gift boxes which could be crushed if not protected. If I receive a item for return which has been damaged due to poor packaging (this includes the gift box), an amount will be deducted from the refund to cover the damage.
Every piece of jewellery is individually hand-crafted and for this reason the piece you receive may not be absolutely identical to that shown in the picture on the web page, although it will as similar as possible. This refers especially to pieces made from natural gemstones, and for wire-wrapped jewellery.
Custom made orders
I will be pleased to quote you for custom made jewellery. Just email me with your requirements and I will send you a quotation. If you decide to accept the quotation, I will require full payment in advance, or for very large orders, a deposit of 50%. Custom-made jewellery can only be returned if is found to be faulty.
(You will need to type this in manually, I do not provide a direct email link due to the risk of spamming.)
If I have custom-made a piece of jewellery to fit a specific size, or with different colours or design from those shown on the website, I do not normally offer a refund for any reason other than faulty or damaged goods. Please contact me first if you feel you need to return anything for any other reason. All items can be made up to fit a specific size, please state this on your order if necessary. The pictures on the website give a good representation of the items, but remember that markings of stone will vary slightly due to their being a natural substance.
I may need to charge a little more for the extra beads involved in making up bracelets, chokers or necklaces that are much larger than average.
If you have any queries, my contact details are on the CONTACT page.
